IKAR GmbH has many years of experience and a successful tradition in which innovation and creativity have been at the forefront from the very beginning.

IKAR GmbH was founded by Mr. Otto Herchet in 1978. Since this time, IKAR GmbH has developed an extensive range of fall protection products. Starting in the beginning with a production plant of the size of a domestic garage, IKAR GmbH has grown ever since to become a major international manufacturer of fall protection. Our wide range of products, including harnesses, anchorage devices, height safety devices and descent devices offer our customers the best possible solution with constantly controlled quality. Our Qualitymanagementsystem is certified according to EN ISO 9001:2015-11 (D).

Today the IKAR GmbH production plant covers over 3,500 sq.m., where all IKAR fall protection products are produced and shipped to over 50 countries around the world. IKAR currently produces and ships approximately 12,000 SRLs a month.

IKAR stands for Made in Germany

Besides the development, construction and assembly of the fall protection products, IKAR supplies itself with most of the component parts for its engineered products. The IKAR production plant includes a department for metal processing and a department for plastic injection-mold at the location in Fulda as well as a department for all soft goods manufacturing. Aluminium castings are manufactured in our subsidiary IKAR LMG Gusstechnik in Aue, Germany.

For a safe Future

At the beginning of 2020, the new IKAR training center in Fulda was completed. On the floor area of 100 m² we recreated different user situations. The training tower has a height of 18 m over 4 floors and thus offers optimal possibilities to carry out practical user training. IKAR's quality production requirements ensure that each and every engineered produced is 100% tested for safety, function and performance before shipping.
